Sir Patrick says...

Since I have been broadcasting on TV and radio for fifty years, and have written quite a number of books, it was suggested that I might have my own website.

As all my work is done on a 1908 Woodstock typewriter, and I am no computer expert, designing a website is quite beyond me. Fortunately Adam Corrie and Richard Denny have risen to the occasion. This is the result. I am most grateful to them.

Welcome to SirPatrickMoore.com!

As the name suggests, this is the only official site dedicated to the British astronomer, Sir Patrick Moore.

What to expect

This site has been launched not only to establish a web presence for Patrick, but also to provide an invaluable resource for amateur astronomers and hobbyists alike. With a beginner's guide, a news section and links to stockists of telescopes and other astronomical equipment, this is the perfect one-stop shop for the budding astronomer.

New features coming soon

We expect our online store to be up-and-running in early 2007. We have secured distribution deals with a number of Patrick's publishers so that we can retail his most popular titles at competitive prices. Revenue generated from these sales will be invested in developing the site further.
